It's a brief report of my experiences with data recovery of video files, with the so-called “raw recovery” method, also called “file carving” or “recovery by file signature search”, which can still be attempted when the more efficient approach, through the analysis of the filesystem structures, fails to retrieve a specific file, or anything at all (when either the filesystem has been damaged by formatting / accidental O.S. It's not strictly video related, more computer related, so I'll put that here.
